Boulder NCAR observatory marks 75 years of staring into the sun

At the genesis of the solar system, there was the sun. The founding of the High Altitude Observatory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research didn't come until about 4,599,999,925 years later. Its anniversary being celebrated Monday through Thursday is only number 75, so its scientists have some catching up to do in fully understanding the dynamics of the fiery ball of gas driving every life system on our planet
